Description

Up for auction is an original handbill flier promoting an event by the Youth Against War & Fascism (YAWF) affiliate of the Workers World Party.
A Marxist-Leninist political party, YAWF was known for their defense of the Black Panther Party, the Weather Underground and Vietnam Veterans Against The War.
This original mimeographed flier is for a celebration on May 4, 1968 after the National Secretary Maryann Weissman and the National Chairman Key Martin had just been released from prison for aiding anti-war GIs.
Also appearing is Andy Stapp who was discharged from the Army due to his anti-war activities.
Very good plus condition with original mailing folds and “1968” in blue pen on the lower right corner.
Measures h-11 x w-8 ½ inches.
