    Description

    Hand carved pink soapstone trinket box, the handle on top is a rhinoceros. This is very much a handmade piece it is uneven in places and you can see carve marks under the lid (see pics) The pink soapstone has some yellow caramel flecks here and there in the piece. The bottom has an N carved into it and there are some symbols or letters carved in the lid but I can't make them out. There are no chips or cracks that I detect. The rhino is very sweetly carved. The trinket box measures about 3 1/2 inches across by about 3 1/2 inches tall from the bottom to the top of rhino. The pink soapstone is darker on the lid than on the bottom piece, but the lighter piece has flecks of the darker pink. If you have any questions please feel free to send us a message.
