    Description

    YIPPIE Anti-War Protest Button
    Button is from 1972.  It is in very good condition.
    It measures 2" and was manufactured by N.G. Slater.
    The "Youth International Party" (aka Yippies) were out in force during the GOP Convention in Miami Beach.
    These were mostly "counter culture" youths.  Not a "real" political party.
    "Yippies" was basically just a catch-phrase take-off on "hippies."
    I
    n attendance that week were Jane Fonda, Alan Ginsberg, Daniel Ellsberg, Bobby Seale, and other activists.
